CONSORTIUM FOR FUNDING

African Women Mobilization Commission (AWMC) AWMC is a leading resource for nonprofit professionals and has been helping nonprofit leaders increase their knowledge and grow the capacity of their organizations for more than 4 years. Just like our membership, we are mission driven. We strive to close gaps in knowledge, develop stronger nonprofit leaders, and grow the capacity of nonprofit organizations to access funding.
We invite you to join our community to access exclusive resources and connect with other nonprofit leaders committed to making a difference. By working together as a collective, we increase our potential to access funding and create sustainable impact.
Each participating organization will have the opportunity to present their program through a mini proposal that highlights the nature of the company, the specific problem being addressed, the individuals or communities impacted, the consequences of inaction, and the unique strengths that position your organization as the best suited to address the issue. Additionally, proposals should outline general goals, objectives, a brief methodology, and a concise budget summary.
We shall seek:
-
Foundations Grants such as The Ford Foundation, which focuses on social justice and may support initiatives related to women’s empowerment and community services.
-
W.K. Kellogg Foundation grants aimed at children, families, and equitable communities.
-
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which prioritizes health and healthcare initiatives that could align with our health-related services.
-
Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation
-
BeyGOOD Foundation. Thier work helps organizations, institutions, and people work to transfotheir communities into places of well-being, economic prosperity, generosity, and justice.
Corporate grants are also a valuable resource, as many companies have philanthropic arms dedicated to supporting community initiatives, especially in education, health, and women's empowerment. Organizations like Walmart and Bank of America frequently offer grant programs to support these causes.
We also encourage exploring crowdfunding and community support opportunities, such as “Help by Shopping,” which provides a new and exciting way for supporters to contribute without incurring any personal cost.
Our goal is to introduce charities and all nonprofit foundations to innovative ways of sharing and supporting our missions, making it easy and accessible for everyone to participate.
By joining our consortium and working together with other organizations, we can harness the power of networking and shared resources. This collaborative approach strengthens our grant applications and opens new doors for joint opportunities, making our proposals more competitive and impactful.
We also recommend looking into local community foundations, as they often offer grants to support community-based organizations and initiatives. By researching these options and tailoring our proposals to align with their objectives, we can further increase our chances of securing critical funding.
We look forward to having you join our consortium and partner to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
